So, let’s dive in and explore how Clockwise is revolutionizing time management.
SMB Guide’s Verdict for Clockwise
As far as appointment scheduling goes, we’ve got to rate this one 7 out of 10, because it’s not designed for managing client meetings as well as other tools like Calendly.
But if this were judged in a category for smart calendar management? It’d definitely score higher.
In this review of Clockwise, I’ve followed SMB Guide’s detailed criteria for evaluating the appointment scheduling software.

Appointment Workflow Automation
Because Clockwise is an AI-powered calendar management tool, there’s not really an appointment workflow to automate.
You can create meeting links with various different slots to share with coworkers. Then, you can choose which meetings are flexible and which ones cannot be changed.
As your schedule changes and tasks are added, the flexible meetings may be rescheduled to create fewer interruptions in your daily schedule.
Customization Options
It’s really easy to set up your schedule and preferences. Tell Clockwise the days you work, the hours you work on those days, and the time zone you’re in.
Set your meeting hours differently from your working hours, if desired.
If you have the Teams or higher subscription, you can tell Clockwise whether you need Focus Time to get stuff done and how many hours you’d like a week.
You can even choose to have your focus time in the mornings, afternoons, or whenever possible.
You can also set whether you want breaks between consecutive meetings – with various settings, such as a 15-minute if there will be more than two hours of consecutive meetings.
You can also choose to block off time for lunch every day, setting times for the earliest lunch can start, and the latest it can end – how much time you prefer to take, and the minimum amount of time you need.
You can also choose to connect a calendar to sync events so you can avoid conflicts with personal events.
You can also choose to hold travel time on your calendar for days when you work in the office.
Calendar Management Features
You’ll choose which meetings are flexible and which ones cannot be moved for the ultimate level of customization.
This is based on your working and meeting hours and other factors. Daily at 4 PM, Clockwise automatically optimizes your meetings to resolve conflicts, allow for Focus Time, and align everything with each meeting participant’s preferences.
You can also sync Clockwise with other tools – like Slack and Zoom to automatically set your Slack status and include meeting links.
Automated Reminders and Notifications
Clockwise will send emails to alert you and your colleagues when flexible meetings are updated. You can choose whether you want to receive these emails and notifications in your settings, if you do not wish to get notifications for every single meeting that is moved.
Flexible meeting email notifications include:
- “Notify Non-Clockwise attendees when you mark a meeting as flexible”
- “Get notified when others mark a meeting you’re attending as flexible”
- “Summary of your flexible meeting updates”
Client Management and Communication
Here is an area where Clockwise doesn’t really excel, but that’s not because it’s a faulty tool.
Its focus isn’t on external appointments and meeting booking, but rather managing internal teams.
Yes, it’s possible on certain plans to create scheduling links to use for external meetings, but as far as managing clients and that communication, it’s limited in nature.
User Interface and User Experience
I found the user experience to be very pleasant. There’s a simple onboarding process where you fill out information about who you are, your company, and what you’ll use the tool for.
You’re given the option to invite team members immediately or to skip that step and come back to it later.
In Step 3, you’re also given the chance to go through a quick tutorial of how the tool works, to help you understand how to use it once you get to the main dashboard.
From there, you fill in a few more things, and get taken to the dashboard, which is incredibly easy to navigate and set up.
Integrations, Compatibility, & Supported Platforms
Clockwise is a cloud-based solution with Chrome and Firefox extensions. It integrates with multiple tools, such as Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Slack, Asana, and more.
If your company uses Microsoft On-Premise, the integration will not work. At this time, there is no mobile app, but it can be accessed from your mobile web browser.
Customer Support
Clockwise offers customer support via live chat that starts with a bot that will direct you to relevant help articles in the support knowledgebase.
If you need to get in touch with a live person, you can leave a message. There are also plenty of help videos to walk you through how to set things up and make the most of the tool.
There does not appear to be a support email or phone number.
Clockwise — Unique Features
Because you can connect a personal calendar, it’s easy to avoid scheduling meetings around personal things like doctor appointments, children’s events, etc.
That makes it easier to track your day as a whole, rather than just your work commitments, which is a nice touch.
What the Experts Say About Clockwise
At the time of this review, Clockwise has the following ratings:
- 4.3/5 stars at Capterra (10+ reviews)
- 4.3/5 stars at GetApp (10+ reviews)
- 5/5 stars at G2 (35+ reviews)
A verified reviewer says, “Overall experience is good and simple with decent pricing models.
The interface is very simple, and it does the function you need for a small business. We use it for time tracking, TO management, and their seamless integration with QBO is great both for import and export. Also, customer service is great and very helpful. It would be great if there were a way for them to do invoice input to QB. A function as the employees put the time in, and invoices are generated from it automatically to each charge code.”

Reclaim AI
Clockwise is a smart calendar assistant that uses artificial intelligence to manage your schedule. It’s designed to automatically reschedule meets and create focused time blocks, which makes it a great tool for internal term coordination.
Reclaim AI, on the other hand, is a powerful scheduling tool that goes beyond just managing your calendar. It integrates with your task list, allowing you to schedule and prioritize tasks alongside meetings.
It also features Habit Scheduling analytics to help you better understand how you spend your time.
In terms of pricing, both offer free versions with additional features available in paid plans. They both integrate with Google Calendar, but Clockwise also supports Office 365.
Both tools offer robust scheduling and time management features. Still, the choice between Clockwise and Reclaim needs to be based on your specific needs, whether that’s more focused on meeting management (Clockwise) or task and habit integration (Reclaim).
Motion
Clockwise uses AI to optimize your calendar to adjust meetings and create blocks of time for uninterrupted productivity.
Motion offers the same basic principle but focuses more on helping individuals plan and prioritize tasks. Motion will automatically schedule and reschedule your tasks around meetings, never touching the meetings once they’ve been scheduled.
Clockwise, on the other hand, will reschedule flexible meetings to the most efficient times to fix conflicts so you can best optimize your day.
Sunsama
Both Clockwise and Sunsama focus on optimizing your calendar and blocking off times for focusing on productivity.
The main difference is that Sunsama is a daily planner and task manager that allows you to schedule tasks alongside your meetings to make for more effective time blocking.
Both tools aim to increase productivity, but Clockwise is more focused on optimizing your calendar for team coordination, whereas Sunsama is a comprehensive daily planning tool for individual task management.
