LastPass offers two types of pricing plans: personal plans and business plans.

For personal use, LastPass offers three different plans for consumers: Free, Premium, and Family.

The Free plan includes common password manager features like auto-filling, password generator, secure notes, password strength report, and multi-factor authentication support.

However, the free version of LastPass restricts vault syncing to one device. LastPass’s free plan offers greater features than the majority of password managers.

Though LastPass Free is undoubtedly among the greatest free password managers available, this plan lacks sophisticated 2FA and emergency access features.

The Premium plan includes advanced features such as one-to-many password sharing, advanced multi-factor options, Emergency Access features, priority tech support, and 1GB encrypted file storage.

LastPass Family, the most expensive option for personal use offers many other features including access to the LastPass family dashboard, six LastPass Premium licenses, and an unlimited number of shared folders.

The Business plans offered by LastPass include Teams and Business plans.

The options offered by LastPass for businesses are affordable and have many great features for password management for organizations.

The Teams plan can accommodate up to 50 users and offers basic multi-factor authentication. Whereas, the business plan offers unlimited users and unlocks all advanced features of the software.

For a little more fee per user, you can also add on Advanced MFA, a feature that offers straightforward multi-factor authentication without a password, and Advanced SSO, which expands LastPass’s single sign-on to an unlimited number of cloud services.

The software does not offer a money-back guarantee and all of its services are invoiced annually. Nevertheless, cancelling your LastPass membership is a simple process.

Multi-factor Security & Authentication

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) and two-factor authentication (2FA) are supported by LastPass to further secure the data.

This platform offers adaptive verification, a multi-factor authentication system that modifies the necessary authentication variables based on user behavior and risk indications.

Users get a wide range of alternatives for the second factor including LastPass authenticator,  mobile applications, software-based services and hardware tokens.

The LastPass Authenticator app is available for free download on the Windows Store, Apple Store, and Google Play stores.
