In this review of Skynova, I’ve followed SMB Guide’s detailed criteria for evaluating invoicing software.
It’s rare that we’ll score software so poorly, but Skynova is full of issues. First, there’s no clear cut pricing page. You just sign up for a “Free” account, then are prompted to subscribe to a plan to add modules.
When you go to the “plans” they offer, you’re presented with the one plan they offer. Invoice customization options are limited. There’s no multi-currency support.
There are no integrations or mobile apps. Expense tracking is limited to marking things as expenses on your invoices.
Pricing & Plans
The Skynova service has one plan, and it was not easy to find. I had to sign up for an account and then choose an add-on service to find the page.
The plan is advertised at 70% off for the first month after my free 21-day trial.

Feature Set & Customization Options
Customization options are highly limited with Skynova. You can add your logo, add a purchase order number, and show payments.
You can select the date format, the language of the finished invoice, and opt to include sales tax. You cannot change fonts or colors to match your branding.
Automated Invoicing
If you want to add automated invoicing, you must add the Recurring Invoices or Subscriptions module and subscribe to the service.
With the Recurring Invoicing module, you can regularly send the same invoice to a customer. You set the time interval to generate it. Once created, it’s placed in the regular invoices module.
If you want to further automate the process, you can set it to be emailed automatically. With the Subscription module, you can send the same invoice to multiple customers.
Expense Tracking
Expense tracking is not intuitive. There’s no separate module for it, and the only way I could figure it out was by messing with the invoice template itself.
When you add an item to the invoice, you can choose from the following options:
- Days
- Hours
- Products
- Service
- Expense
- Discount
When you select “Expense,” a new window will appear where you can add all the information relevant to the expense.
Multi-Currency Support
Skynova doesn’t appear to have any multi-currency support. Online payments are processed via PayPal, but it looks like invoices are always issued in U.S. dollars.
User Interface and User Experience
I found the user interface to be incredibly outdated and the user experience to be clunky.
I am highly proficient when it comes to computers, so if I had trouble figuring things out, it’s likely others would, too. It could greatly benefit from simplicity.
I am not often frustrated by online tools, but this one drove me nuts.
Integrations and Compatibility
Skynova has no real integrations. You can get paid online if you enter your PayPal email address and enable the “online payment” option within your account.
However, it does not integrate with any third-party apps and does not have a mobile app.
Customer Support
Customer support is lacking. It’s literally just a page full of FAQs to help you understand how to use the platform. All the answers are on the same page, too, which can be hard to keep up with.
If you can’t get your answers there, you must use the website’s contact form to message them. They’ll reply to the email you use to log in, and the website says to expect a response within approximately one business day.

What the Experts Say About Skynova
- SiteJabber rating: 3.3/5 (35 reviews)
- Shopper Approved rating: 4.7/5 (3,167 reviews)
It is a tremendous work tool for my invoices, the only thing that needs to be improved is that the work must be constantly recorded automatically because I have lost invoices in the process.
Maria D. – Verified buyer
It has been easier to run my small business and keep information in one place. I only wish when creating an invoice, quote etc. I could add a line between items if I write them out of order.
