I was really close to giving this one a 9 out of 10, but I found a few issues that made me knock it down a bit.

Appointment Workflow Automation
After you spend about five minutes creating your account and onboarding, you’ll be able to set up your workflow.
You can choose things like:
- First available appointment
- Skip team members
- Provide multiple services
- Allow them to choose any team member
- Require (or not) a customer to login
- Hide Setmore’s branding
- Allow online rescheduling
- Allow online cancellations
If you see the option greyed out here, it’s not included in your plan. You can also customize the contact fields (and choose what’s required) when someone books an appointment with you.
You’ll also be able to set booking policies and preferences. From the customer’s perspective, it’s a series of clicks and entering information.

Customization Options
I was disappointed to see that you cannot customize the look and feel of your booking page to match your branding.
You can, however, customize the URL, add a cover photo and a logo, and adjust your business hours and add breaks.
You can add custom messages, a link to your terms and conditions, and a link to a confirmation redirect when a customer books an appointment.
You can also set what your visitors see when they browse your booking page, the preferred language, the time format, and the day of the week your week starts on.
You can also customize the section labels on your booking page, if you want to. When you add services, you can choose to make them free or require a payment during booking.
To ensure customers pay for the appointment, you need to connect to a payment gateway.
Calendar Management Features
When you first log in to your account, you can look at your appointment calendar.
You have the option to add Google Calendar or Microsoft Calendar. Unless you upgrade to a paid plan, you won’t be able to use the 2-way sync, though.
Automated Reminders and Notifications
Though the free plan includes 500 email reminders according to the pricing page features list, I didn’t see anything about how to use them or customize them in my dashboard.
Maybe that’s only something that opens up when you subscribe to a paid plan. Paid plans also have the option to use SMS reminders, but I wasn’t able to test that function with the Free Forever plan I used.
Client Management and Communication
When someone books an appointment and chooses to log in to an account, they’re automatically added to the customer database.
You can also import your list of customers if you have one from another tool. You can click on any customer to see their information and appointment history.
You can also add notes and manually add customers.
User Interface and User Experience
Setmore is really easy to use. I could choose a Google account to use for my account automatically. In two clicks, my account was created and ready to go.
It was easy to go through the settings and add services, payment options, etc. It’s also easy from the customer’s front-end perspective, giving them the option to log in or skip it and fill in appointment information.
One thing I thought to be really odd was that the business hours are displayed on the side of the booking page, but I was able to book an appointment as a customer outside of those business hours.
I could see that becoming problematic, and I even checked my settings to ensure my business hours and breaks were set correctly.
Integrations, Compatibility, & Supported Platforms
Setmore offers plenty of integrations, from payment gateways to video platforms and social media channels.
You can access more integration options if you choose a paid plan.
Beyond this, Setmore offers Windows, iOS, and Android apps, so you can keep everything consistent across all your devices.
Customer Support
Customer support is available 24/7, and within a few minutes of onboarding, I got a message in my dashboard asking if I wanted to view a demo with a customer support representative.
There is a toll-free number available, too. If you don’t want to deal with the phone or live chat, you can also use email or check out the knowledgebase and FAQs for answers.
Setmore — Unique Features
I thought the most unique feature Setmore offers is the Windows desktop app. It’s not something I’ve come across reviewing other software options in this space.
