Real-Time Messaging & Canned Responses

In my tests, the real-time messaging is on point. Canned responses were a bit difficult to find, but are easily editable in the “Quick Phrases Helper”.

JivoChat messaging

Two are already in the system to welcome the customer to the chat and to say goodbye. You can add them as needed for your processes.

You just type / and the name of your response to insert it.

Live Chat AI & NLP

JivoChat itself does not include AI features. You can set up smart triggers to start a chat, but AI doesn’t handle any of it after that.

That said, JivoChat does integrate with some chatbots, so you can set that up with your chosen AI chatbot if you want to.

Customizable Chat Widgets

Immediately after signing up for your account, you’re taken to the screen to customize your widget.

You’ll name the chat channel, set your avatar, add your title or department, and choose the color scheme that makes the most sense for your brand.

From there, you’ll also be able to add the agent’s name.

Visitor Tracking and Analytics

Under the statistics section in the dashboard, you can see demo data to get a better idea of what is tracked during use.

User Interface and User Experience

I found the platform incredibly easy to set up and use. It is highly intuitive, so even those with little to no computer experience can easily leverage it.

Upon signing up and customizing the chat widget, you’re taken to the above dashboard, where you can see all the contacts in the inbox, contacts assigned to you, and so on.

Everything is accessible on the left sidebar. I will admit it was a bit difficult to find the canned responses, because I had to open a chat with myself before I could find them.

Integrations and Compatibility

JivoChat integrates with many popular channels customers use to seek support, such as Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. Adding WhatsApp requires using the API and an additional fee as a result.

Not only is it a web-based application you can access from any internet-connected device, there are desktop apps available for Mac OS, Windows, and Linux.

There are also mobile apps available for Android and iOS devices.

Customer Support

JivoChat offers chatbot/live chat support throughout the entire experience, beginning with onboarding. There’s also email and phone support available.

I didn’t test email or phone, but found the live chat to be helpful.

JivoChat offers many of the same features you’d find in competing products. One difference is that you have the option to add video calls and use a callback feature so that if a customer prefers a phone conversation you can speak to them on the phone.
