Real-Time Messaging & Canned Responses

In the Admin Settings section, you can set up the canned responses that will make things easier for your agents. If you need help, there’s also the option to start a guided tour or talk to a product expert.

It’s as simple as titling the message, typing it out, and creating a shortcode your agents can use to send the message.

I created a Welcome message using the shortcode “/hello” in less that three minutes.

Live Chat AI & NLP

I wasn’t able to test this directly in a live chat situation.

The screenshot above is using Freddy, the beta AI tool that helps you with things like creating an SLA, get analytics data like “Give me average resolution time,” “Show a bar chart of conversation trends of the last 30 days,” or “Show sample customer queries for high frequency scenarios.”

You can build a variety of chatbots to suit your needs. When you set up your account, there are 10 different flows for the most common scenarios:

Now, these flows are likely in place because I told the platform at sign up that I was using it for an ecommerce website. If you choose a different use or industry, the flows may be different.

You also have the option to configure or retrain natural language based on live user queries and bot responses.

With Freshchat’s customizable chat widgets, you can improve the customer experience by tailoring the live chat interfaces to match your brand identity.

You can customize the color and logo to align with your brand’s aesthetics.

You can also customize the welcome message with personalized greetings based on the visitor’s behavior or journey on your site, to make your interactions more engaging and relevant.

Freshchat supports multiple languages, so you can customize the chat widget to communicate in your customer’s language.

This is especially important to improve customer service for businesses with an international audience.

Visitor Tracking and Analytics

In the support dashboard, you start with demo data so you can see how it works. Once you click “Dismiss,” that demo data is replaced with your company’s real data.

I like this because many of the tools we test here don’t have demo data to show you what you can expect to see – and for the time we demo, it’s hard to get meaningful and useful data to see it for ourselves.

The company also offers live chat support, which makes sense given the nature of the product.

While Freshchat contains many of the same features as competing products, I found the most unique feature to be the Freddy AI tool.

This allows you to send prompts or create your own to gain insights into your data and Analytics over time.
