Bizee: Key Features, Pros, Cons, & Pricing
Bizee, previously known as Incfile, is a business formation service that handles LLC and corporation filing in all 50 U.S. states.
They rebranded from the name Incfile in December of 2023, but they still offer all of the same services as before.
They take the hassle out of setting up your business by handling the paperwork, setting you up with a registered agent, and sending alerts so you stay compliant with state laws.
Pros & Cons
100% free Formation
Free 1-year registered agent
Fast filing speeds
Free compliance reminders
Mediocre customer service
Limited online features
Pricing
If you want to form an LLC or corporation with Bizee, you can do so for free with their basic package.
You’ll only have to pay your state filing fee and will still get the benefits of using a formation service vs. doing it yourself.
That said, Bizee also offers more advanced paid features, including business contract templates, an EIN tax number, banking and tax assistance, and more.
If you need any of these services, it could be worth signing up for a paid plan.
Here’s a look at Bizee’s plan options:
- Basic: $0 plus state filing fees
- Standard: One-time payment of $199 plus state filing fees
- Premium: One-time payment of $299 plus state filing fees
Business formation for as little as $0 + state fee. No contracts. No hidden fees.
Tailor Brands: Key Features, Pros, Cons, and Pricing
Tailor Brands is a comprehensive business-building platform meant to simplify the process of creating, managing, and growing your business.
While Tailor Brands only handles formation of LLCs, they also provide a range of other services and products for small business owners, including taxes and bookkeeping, website templates, and even business cards and branded merchandise.
Pros & Cons
Free plan available
Easy setup wizard
Offers registered agent service
Additional services to support your business
Lacks phone support
Only works for LLCs
Pricing
Tailor Brands’ pricing information is not available until you sign up and begin the process of starting an LLC with them.
This can be frustrating if you’re still in the price shopping stage and aren’t ready to commit to a specific service yet.
Luckily, we went through the sign-up process to get access to pricing information so you don’t have to.
Here’s are the plan options that we found Tailor Brands offers:
- Lite: $0 per year plus state filing fees
- Essential: $199 per year
- Elite: $249 per year
A revolutionary business-building platform that simplifies every step of starting, managing, and growing a business.
Business Formation Services
Both services can be used to form a business in any U.S. state. However, Tailor Brands is strictly an LLC formation service.
You can’t use it to form a corporation or any other type of entity. If an LLC isn’t what you’re going for, Bizee provides more options for entity types.
With it, you can form an LLC, Corporation (S Corp or C Corp), or nonprofit. If you need a DBA (Doing Business As), they’ve got you covered there, too.
Whichever service you choose, they’ll handle the formation paperwork and ensure that everything is filed correctly.
✅ Winner: Bizee
Processing Time
Once you’ve signed up and provided all of the necessary business information, your paperwork will be processed by your formation provider and forwarded to the state.
Bizee’s turnaround is fast. They boast a 24-hour processing time for the orders that they receive.
Tailor Brands’ processing time takes a bit longer. If you’re on the Lite plan, it could take up to 14 business days.
If you upgrade to a paid plan or select expedited processing at checkout, you can get this down to 2 business days – but that’s still slower than Bizee.
✅ Winner: Bizee
Registered Agent Services and Costs
A registered agent is an appointed individual who is responsible for being available to receive mail and official documents during business hours.
All business entities in the U.S. are required to have one, and Bizee sets you up with one for completely free in your first year with them.
If you want to continue using the service after that, it’s priced at $119 per year.
Tailor Brands’ registered agent service is a bit more pricey, costing $199 per year.
They don’t provide a free trial of this service, either.
Overall, Bizee offers more value for your money when it comes to registered agents.
✅ Winner: Bizee
Name Availability Search
Bizee has a native name availability search tool available on their website. Anyone can access and use this tool.
Once you input your information, you’ll receive an email in 5 to 10 minutes (it took just 3 minutes when I was testing it) letting you know whether your desired name is available.
It would be nice if the results were populated directly on the web page rather than sending you an email, but the service is still fast.
Tailor Brands also has a name availability tool. When you decide to start a business with them, you’ll be asked to input your desired name and it’ll let you know if it’s available.
You’ll be notified in a matter of minutes with the results.
✅ Winner: Tie
Online Document Access
Both Bizee and Tailor Brands provide access to your filed documents online so you can find, view, and print them as needed.
Bizee provides online document access through their Business Dashboard. Your data will also be automatically backed up and encrypted.
You can find your documents with Tailor Brands through their LLC dashboard.
Once you’ve entered the dashboard, simply click “View documents” and you’ll find a list of your documents.
You can download them as PDFs either individually or all at once.
✅ Winner: Tie
Money-Back Guarantees
Bizee offers a money-back guarantee in the first 24 hours after placing your order.
However, this guarantee only applies before they forward your filing paperwork to the state.
Since Bizee processes orders so fast, you might not be able to get a refund if you change your mind – and even if you do, you’ll still be subject to a $30 cancellation fee.
For additional services, Bizee offers a 60-day money-back guarantee.
Because Tailor Brands offers so many different services, their refund policy varies depending on the specific product or service you’re using.
So if you want to request a refund, you’ll need to email the support team.
✅ Winner: Bizee
Platform User-Friendliness
According to customers, both Bizee and Tailor Brands are intuitive and easy to use.
Here’s what one Trustpilot reviewer, Dwana, said about Bizee’s ease of use:
“The website is user friendly. Filling out the forms for my LLC and DBA was super easy. Everything you need to start your business is available on the website such as opening a business account and obtaining domain name and website.”
And here’s what Alexandria B., entrepreneur in the cosmetics industry, said about Tailor Brands:
“I loved how easy it was to start up my LLC. Each step was categorized by section and I was able to go section by section to ensure that each step was completed. It was very organized and I loved how simple it was to maneuver.”
✅ Winner: Tie
Customization Options
Neither Bizee nor Tailor Brands offers much room for customization in their business formation packages.
You can choose to add on additional products, such as Bizee’s accounting and bookkeeping service or Tailor Brands’ website builder.
But keep in mind that these are all separate products with their own costs.
That said, Tailor Brands offers more add-on services overall, so they come out on top in this category.
✅ Winner: Tailor Brands
Compliance Assistance
Compliance reminders are included with every Bizee formation plan – even the free plan.
They’ll send you emails as important tax and annual report due dates approach so you can stay compliant.
There’s no additional charge for this service. Tailor Brands provides compliance assistance through their Annual Compliance subscription.
When you enroll, you’ll receive notifications of relevant changes to state compliance requirements and you’ll even get the option to have a team take care of your annual LLC report for you.
I was unable to locate pricing information for this particular feature on Tailor Brands’ website.

Industry-Specific Expertise
Bizee was founded in 2003 and bootstrapped its way to success with no money from big investors.
Because of this, its founders have a unique understanding of the small business landscape and what it means to be an entrepreneur.
Today, Bizee serves more than a million entrepreneurs across the U.S.
Tailor Brands is a newer company founded in 2015. They’ve positioned themselves as an “all-in-one” solution that empowers small business owners to start and grow their companies.
Tailor Brands is used by millions of people to access 20+ business services with a single subscription.
✅ Winner: Bizee
Customer Education and Resources
Within Bizee’s Resource Center, you’ll find a blog with over 200 articles on topics like business taxes, legal contracts, bookkeeping, and even branding and marketing.
Tailor Brands also has a blog on their website that covers topics under four primary categories: LLC, business, logo design, and branding.
✅ Winner: Tie
Customer Support
Bizee provides phone, fax, email, and live chat support. Their email support ticket system is easy to use, and their operating hours for phone assistance are decent (9am to 6pm CST).
That said, some customers have complained that the support they received from Bizee was mediocre.
That’s certainly something to take into consideration before signing up with them.
Tailor Brands offers customer support for all of their business formation and design services via live chat, email, and phone.
Their support team is responsive with reasonable wait times.
✅ Winner: Tailor Brands
Pricing
Bizee’s pricing structure is pretty simple. They offer three tiers and the cost is the same no matter what kind of entity you’re forming (except for state fees as those will vary depending on location and entity type).
Their pricing starts at $0 and goes all the way up to $299 plus state filing fees. It’s a one-time payment, so you don’t have to worry about a recurring subscription fee.
Tailor Brands offers three plans for their LLC formation service. Pricing ranges from $0 to $249.
This is an annual subscription that you’ll have to pay for each year. The biggest con with Tailor Brands pricing is that it’s not immediately available on their website.
You have to actually sign up with them and start the process of forming your business before you’re given access.
This isn’t user-friendly at all in my opinion.
✅ Winner: Bizee
Scalability
If you’re looking to start and grow an LLC, both Bizee and Tailor Brands are strong in terms of scalability.
Both offer free plans for new entrepreneurs as well as premium features and add-ons you can purchase as your business grows.
However, if you ever want to expand and dip your toe into other business ventures outside of LLCs, Bizee is the better pick since they support more entity types.
✅ Winner: Bizee
Standout Features of Bizee
Contract templates
Dealing with contracts and other legal documents as a business owner can be daunting.
Luckily, Bizee has a library of legal templates that you can use and tweak for your own business needs.
These include consulting agreements, operating agreements, demand letters, and more.
This feature is included in Bizee’s Platinum plan.
Foreign qualification
Filing a Foreign Qualification allows you to legally conduct business outside of the state your company was originally registered in.
If you’re a business with physical store locations or even warehouses, you may need this if you want to expand.
Bizee can prepare and file a Foreign Qualification for you for $149.
Accounting and bookkeeping
Bizee offers a separate accounting and bookkeeping service that takes the hassle out of managing your business finances and helps you stay compliant with tax laws.
If you don’t already have an accounting service you’re using, it could be a good idea to sign up.
Accounting and bookkeeping plans range from $90 to $180 per month.
Standout Features of Tailor Brands
Operating agreement
An operating agreement essentially outlines how your business will run and includes things like your structure, purpose, responsibilities, and fund allocation.
Not all LLCs need an operating agreement, but if you do, Tailor Brands can provide you with one.
Operating agreements are a one-time fee of $29.
Employer ID number (EIN)
An EIN number is essentially the equivalent of an SSN for business entities. It can be used for tax purposes, business banking, and other financial operations.
Tailor Brands allows you to purchase an EIN through them when filing your LLC or later as a separate transaction.
EINs through Tailor Brands cost $99.
Bizee vs. Tailor Brands: SMB Guide’s Verdict
While I would recommend either Bizee or Tailor Brands to individuals wanting to start an LLC, Bizee is ultimately the winner because they handle filing additional entity types and offer more free intro features.
To get started with Bizee today, just select your state and desired business entity.
If you’re looking to file an LLC and want a one-stop-shop for all things business, you can get started with Tailor Brands by filling out their questionnaire.
Business formation for as little as $0 + state fee. No contracts. No hidden fees.
